ONE-ON-ONE
DISSERTATION COACHING
In-Depth Approach

What is it?
One-on-one Thesis and Dissertation Coaching is suitable for those who are just starting to write their PhD/Master's thesis proposal or thesis, or for those who feel unable to make progress due to personal or academic reasons.
Our primary aim is to identify the problems you're facing and their underlying causes, and to take supportive measures accordingly. Sometimes, this can be as simple as clarifying the research question, while at other times, it may require delving into the fundamentals of the scientific research process. In such cases, we integrate theory and practice by addressing the topics presented on the modules page in the context of your thesis.
Looking at the big picture, our main goal is to enhance your academic research and writing skills while helping you develop effective stress and time management strategies, so that you can build consistent reading and writing habits and complete your thesis successfully.

How will we work?
After identifying the key issues hindering your progress and outlining our roadmap to address them, we will focus on each chapter individually according to its specific requirements. The flow below will give you an idea of how we will ideally proceed with a chapter.

Chapter Outline Drafting
-
Initial Meetings: We will start by examining the semi-structured academic or technical content of the related chapter in the context of your thesis topic/research question.
-
Outline Development: As you progress with your readings and/or research, you will first create a general chapter outline, followed by a detailed chapter outline.
-
Ongoing Support: We will establish short-term, goal-oriented action plans and hold regular meetings to ensure you remain on track.

Chapter Writing
-
First Draft: Once your detailed chapter outline is complete, you will begin writing the chapter.
-
Progress Checks: We will schedule brief meetings every two weeks (or as needed) to review your progress and address any issues.

Written Feedback
-
Detailed Review: After completing the first draft of a chapter, you will receive comprehensive written feedback.
-
Focus Areas: The feedback will address technical and academic aspects of your chapter, as well as overall chapter organization, cohesion, and clarity of ideas, It will provide actionable solutions while adhering to the principles of academic integrity.
-
Final Evaluation: Following your review of the feedback, we will conduct a final evaluation and planning meeting.
*****
Written feedback is a one-time read.
